Once again, we are not together on your special day, let’s blame it on a pandemic this time. So, I thought I would write you another letter following the tradition.

First, I want to know from your parents how they planned to have a coinciding celebration of your birthday with their wedding anniversary!

Anyway, I am writing this letter for a couple of reasons, to let you know that you mean a lot to me, but the main reason is to have something about you on my blog. hahahaha! next time, don’t complain okay?

I remember you meeting for the first time, I was sweating like a pig in the humid weather of Mumbai and you looked stunning. We conversed about visa processing and I acted as if I knew all the procedures, I realized today that it was not a good example of a great first impression but fortunately, you shared your contact number and the rest is history.

In those 57 days in 2018, I have lived a lifetime with you. We have been irritating neighbors who fought about grocery shopping. Do you remember the khichdi I prepared for you when you were sick, and you looked sicker after eating? But you appreciated the efforts like corporate bosses do. Remember when we were mistaken for an Indian couple by a tour guide and I smirked at him in joy? You must thank me for all those sharp pictures I captured at a freezing temperature of -8 °C and you posed like a model in a sleeveless dress. Thank you for saying YES for the trip and everything else.

I think the most accurate word to describe you is ambitious & I am proud of you that you are fighting against all the odds to fulfill your dreams. Remember the bad phase you went through and survived everything on your own. I am sure I wouldn’t have survived any of these things alone and therefore you are special and stronger than most of us. I hope you know this.

You are one of the most beautiful souls I have met in my life. Thank you for being a part of my life and constantly reminding me to lose weights. You deserve all the happiness in the world and more than a letter on your birthday.

I hope we are together to celebrate this day in 2021 and hope is a good thing……….
